Born in Senegal, West Africa – Soukay Harrell has spent a lifetime dedicated to her craft. In high school, her and her friends would go back and forth braiding each other’s hair and passionately did so as a hobby until she came to America in 2001. Learning that she could make a living with her talents, she started working in her cousin’s beauty salon until she could afford to start a booth of her own in 2008. In 2011, she opened the doors to her very own salon, and what we have come to know today as Creative Stylz! Due to her hard work, passion, and amazing clientele; she was able to upgrade her salon to a much bigger and more beautiful space in 2019. Today, Soukay continues to pursue this art form and welcomes all hairstyles and requests.
